SENIORS CITIZENS

From 50 years of age onwards, the human metabolism changes and slows down: our bodies absorb the useful nutrients less efficiently (especially calcium, vitamins and proteins), while tending to store fats more readily!
Therefore, we need to make more of an effort to follow a balanced diet: cut down on fatty foods, choose fresh fruit and vegetables, which are rich in vitamins and trace elements, and eat at least 4 dairy products per day, preferably those which are low in fat: they contain as much calcium and protein as their counterparts that are higher in fat, and allow you to stay healthy and in shape,… while indulging yourself!
 

Daily calcium and protein requirements:

Adult woman 900 mg 60 g
Adult men 900 mg 80 g
Woman over 50 years of age 1200 mg 70 g
Man over 50 years of age 1200 mg 90 g
